SNSD talking about the terms “idol” and “artist”
Q: People call you idols, do you think of yourselves as idols right now?
I think it has to do with presentation.
When you are presented out as being the way people should be, someone people Should look up to, and the music comes second, you are idols.
But when people want to be like you because of the way you are while enjoying your music just as much, I think artist can apply. Because then it’s not about the image, it’s about the music.
